NATO Denies Black Sea Naval Build Up
NATO on Thursday rejected Russian criticism of its decision to send navy ships to the Black Sea, saying the four vessels there - from the United States, Spain, Germany and Poland - are on a routine exercise far from the coast of Georgia.

Army Opens Prep School for Dropouts
The Army, eager to fill its ranks amid wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, formally opened its first prep school today. "With only three of every 10 people of military age capable of joining the Army, we are going to have to do something different," said Fort Jackson chief of staff Col. Jeffrey Sanderson.
Patrol Coastal Ships Returned to Navy
Command of patrol coastal ships USS Tempest (PC 2) and USS Monsoon (PC 4) was returned to the U.S. Navy from the U.S. Coast Guard during a ceremony held at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek.
